Create an admin portal that allow users with security rights to view all submitted invoice requests in Expense Management.
This would give the user insight into what invoices are in the queue for approval, where an invoice is in the approval process and to see if an authorized approver has approved an invoice or not.
This would include the functionality to drill down to see where in the approval rule an invoice might be getting hung up.
It's absurd that this hasn't been implemented yet. It's equivelent to shipping a car with no gas gauge and saying "we will get right on that" 4 years ago. I've been sure to promote BB to other chruches, but have made sure to tell them Expense Managment isn't complete.
The approval should also be view what they have approved previously

Please add this functionality ASAP. Having the ability to see invoices in the pipeline is a pretty basic and critical function and it's quite surprising this wasn't part of the initial build. We have moved some of our organizations off of the expense management system because of the severe limitations the currently exist.
Also need the ability for an admin to bypass approval and send it to a different approver in case the approver is no longer an employee. Also need the ability to update the approval rule in case the rule is changed and an invoice gets 'stuck'. Sort of like the requisition reverter plug in in database view.

I have had several issues with this module...especially linking credit cards. The demonstration was wonderful, it is a shame the functionality is not there. We are trying to use it to generate electronic preapprovals and it is difficult without a form that at least generates a "My Invoice" number.
I agree with all the posts as admin I would like to see how many invoices are out there.. I get bombarded with approvals but can't see the stages they are in or how many are coming my way until they do. Another item that would be nice if a GL code and project has a budget total it should show up on the approving screen so you know how much of the budget is available.
I don't know who developed an expense module that doesn't have an active module to track down the invoice request. This needs to be corrected as soon as possible.
When we first got this module a couple of years back on FE NXT the Expense Management, we immediately identified this flaw. When I initially spoke to Blackbaud about this, they said it was part of their plans to add that functionality and the Expense Management module although released was in beta testing mode and not finished. I have just called Balckbaud again today and it is still the same answer, the module will only work on a chain of approval method, though won't allow the chain to be viewed. There are numberous accounting online AP software out there that allows the accounting department to view the whole chain, so accounting staff can see the initial user is waiting on supervisor approval before it can be approved/processed by accounting. I as the manager should be able to see that when an user uploading their expenses / documents said they did it weeks ago, why hasn't AP staff done initial approval to move it on to me. I am desperate to role this module out organization wide, yet this flaw and serious omission in the functionality and viewing is what is preventing me. This absolutely has to be a top priority for FE NXT software engineers.

I was disappointed to find, after going live, that this feature doesn't exist. It just seems like an obvious inclusion in accounting software. As the AP person, I'm trying to figure out work arounds to not having this in place. PLEASE implement asap!!!
This is absolutely essential to our operations. The people who need to sign off on invoices are very busy. Our faithful accounting team has to chase them down and get them to sign off. Also, some people create invoices but forget to submit them and we can't see why they aren't getting processed.
This should already be in place. I don't know why you would have went live with expense management without this in place, when it was available in webinvoicing. Please implement immediately.
