There are instances that a second payroll batch needs to be run in the same pay period. It could be a one time pay for incentive pays, bonuses, or leave payouts. Also, there could be some processing errors for example where leave hours were not included in the import of hours worked from Time Clock (technical error). The system does not allow a second batch to be processed in the same pay period with the same pay date. It will, however, allow to process individual one time pays with a different pay date. What if you have hundreds of employees to process. Can you imagine how long it will take to finish all of them and besides the risk of making errors in data entry is very high. I do not know the reason why this cannot be done.
As IOIPay is our premier payroll provider, and we will not be doing any further development to Payroll 7, this is being passed along to them for evaluation. On 6/18/2019 we announced that the end-of-life for Payroll 7 is estimated to occur in early 2021.
Hi Gloria, Thanks so much for the feedback. With our current payroll it is possible to add additional pay types (that have yet to be calculated) for calculations that have already been processed. For example if you calculated for 5/1-5/15 for "Salary," the one time pay types, bonuses, leave payouts, etc should be possible if they don't have calculations for the same date range. You are correct in that it's not possible to calculate for a pay type that already exists within that pay period, however if you've caught the error before payment, you can open that calculation and make the necessary edits to the amounts.
