Merging vendors is a critical function, please reinstate

The ability to be able to merge duplicate vendors should be reinstated.

We urgently need this merger vendors function in FENXT. Please reinstate it ASAP.

Please bring back the merge vendor option. This will help to keep records together and will help with the 1099/W9 amounts to be correct or for audit purposes.

The merging of vendors should never have been removed. We do need it in NXT! I don't feel the need to explain why as so many people below have already done so. We just need Blackbaud to listen to our concerns.

Yes, please bring back the merge vendor function. We have used it in the past not just for duplicate vendors, but also if one company merges with another we can keep the history on one record.

Duplicate vendor detection setup did not work properly when doing an import and now we have over 3000 duplicate vendors...unfortunately there is no quick fix according to support, as we LOST this capability with our "upgrade" to NXT. Absurd!

I vote to have this reinstated. I do not understand why this was not added to NXT. If you accidently enter a duplicate vendor and need to keep the history and not delete, it is imperative that we able to merge. Thank you.

The duplicate detecting tool in FENXT is helpful, but it is not nearly enough to eliminate duplicate vendors. We need this simple tool to merge vendors when someone sets up a vendor with a name spelled incorrectly or accidently creates a vendor under a nickname when there is already a vendor for this person. This happens in our organization a few times a month because we have thousands over 9,000 vendors and are not always given the same information when making a payment. With the merge vendor tool, this was always a simple fix. Now we are trying to jump through time-consuming hoops to recreate transactions in a way that makes countless inactive vendors and does not help keep things clear for our staff trying to dig through the history of a transaction. I cannot express how much more difficult this has made our payment processing when we come across these issues.

Please add this to NXT! It was such a simple task in the database view, we really miss it!

We need the feature that simply merge 2 duplicate vendors. as practically we cannot recreate any paid transaction to the vendor record so we need both vendors activity under the primary vendor in that regard we need the option to merge duplicate vendor to keep all the records.

I need to simply merge 2 duplicate vendors. Your suggestion that we should "Recreate" the transactions on the correct vendor record is NOT acceptable nor a good use of our time!
