Key in GL accounts without waiting for drop-down menu to show the correct one
When typing GL accounts into a journal entry, account shows as "not found" if you tab to the next field too quickly, so you must wait for the correct GL account to show in the drop-down menu (or key in the GL with all the dashes) before moving on.
How is this still an issue? This should be fixed before database view is removed. We have to enter JEs with dozens, sometimes hundreds of lines. By not being able to use 10-key and tab, JEs take 5-10x longer. Maybe it's a few seconds in one line, but over the course of a year, that's hours and hours of extra time spent just entering JEs (and invoice requests since the same issue exists in expense management too).
I agree that this is a pain. The same thing happens with the project code also. It would be so much faster if we could just type in the information and tab to the next field.
Yes! This is a pain for those of us who are used to keying in account numbers. Maybe some people like to search and point/click, but if I know the number, I want to just key it in.
Also even when a list does display, it is not a complete list of matches, only the first 6 or so. I can guess the first few digits of the code I'm looking for, but need a longer list of choices.
I have an issue with typing in the exact GL account I want to use and it brings up a drop down, so when I tab off of it, it changes my account to the first one on the list, which is not the one I want to use.
This is ludicrous. Data entry is hard enough already. This request is 2 1/2 years old. Why hasn't this been addressed?
Takes too much time!!! Needs to be addressed.

This makes the input process so much longer than it needs to be.
And the same in expense management!
