Hi LInda - My apologies, I thought you were referring to the Journal entry grid when editing or adding a new journal entry batch. This screen shot looks like it is referring to the columns on the Journal entry list page. Journal is not a column option here (as you have already noticed :) ). As a workaround, you can sort the description column in the database view which contains the subledger name. In NXT, you can filter the journal entry list using the search function.
I have removed the 'Already exists' label from your idea.
In the webview, the Journal column is in the Journal Entries grid. In the database view, if you do not see a Journal column then you may need to add the column by right clicking on the column header row and selecting 'Columns' from the menu.

When I right click on column header row, I do not get an option for "Journal". I've attached a screen shot.
