Since we are only releasing items to Financial Edge 7 that resolve bug fixes or are required for updates such as taxes, we made a decision not to have an Idea Portal as it could be viewed like we were planning to make additional enhancements in Financial Edge 7. NXT is built on modern programming and architecture that better supports these changes and we are placing our investment and new feature development into NXT to create a world class fund accounting solution. Please feel free to contact me directly at david.vroblesky@blackbaud.com and I would be happy to hop on a phone call and discuss this further.
Hi David I find it highly troubling (1) Financial Edge doesn't have its own idea bank (2) that these quality of life improvements to the accounting system are only being addressed in Financial Edge NXT. Is there a time line on this change being implemented to Financial Edge.
Outside of issuing fixes and required updates in Financial Edge 7, we're focusing all our engineering efforts on Financial Edge NXT. All the feedback we receive in this ideal portal and from our clients is incredibly valuable as we continue to build out NXT. For a post like this with a status "Already exists," we're referring to the fact that this already exists in NXT since Financial Edge 7 does not have its own idea portal. Hope this helps!
Yep, that's correct. The majority of our development effort and focus is on building the best accounting solution with Financial Edge NXT, so you'll see most of the ideas in our portal getting added to NXT only. If you have questions about our roadmap or product strategy, please feel free to send me an email at david.vroblesky@blackbaud.com and I'll be happy to give you a call or answer any questions.
Thanks for the feedback! We've actually already implemented our Banks list page in Financial Edge NXT to sort by any of the available columns while providing users with the ability to filter out inactive/closed bank accounts. Both the Account description, Account ID, and Status are included with many other column options in NXT.

Since this solution does not exist in FE, then it does not "Already exist".

Thanks, David. It doesn't exist in FE.

Yes, please. And hide inactive bank accounts so my bank list isn't clogged with closed accounts.
