Update to existing contacts within the AR through the import facility

All users of the AR module who import contacts to the client record would benefit.

Through NXT and/or the Database view.

https://kb.blackbaud.com/articles/Article/48033 In this article it states that it's only possible to import a new instance of an address through import and make it the new primary. It is not currently possible to import a change to an existing vendor or in this case client address.  My apologies for any issues that this may be causing. Due to the nature of this request and action and the value that I see that this can give to other users in Financial Edge; I would recommend sending feedback through our Idea portal.

    As you can see from this screen shot the addresses lack an importId (unlike most other fields which have them)

    Hello Julia. I also wanted to mention/add to my idea that the import facility seems to lack and importId for contacts in both the AP module (vendors) as well as the client contacts in AR module. So both modules could benefit from this enhancement. Please let me know if you have any more questions ��� thanks.

    Accounts Payable vendor address updates through import it is also applicable to Accounts Receivable Client address updates.

    We probably update client contacts in bulk at least once a month. Maybe more than that at busy times of the year. But it can be hundreds - which creates a risk of error if we have to edit them manually. Thanks.

    Thanks so much for this feedback. As we continue to develop NXT, we will be reviewing the best way to address the import process all areas of NXT. To help us for this specific AR example, can you tell us how frequently you're needing to update these records in bulk?

    Currently any attempt to update an existing contact results in a New contact being created. Due to the lack of an client contact import id. Please fix or modify to allow true updates to contacts.
