Our organization would like to see the approvals set up so that this is strengthened to allow any one person from an assigned group to approve, and it identifies this person as the approver in the audit log. Also, that the set up for group approvals allows us to manage this beyond an account code or dollar value.

I would suggest the ability to insert an approver when necessary. It will still follow the approval chain but allow an approver or the requester to decide that this request will need an additional approver.

it's 2024, is this still not possible? The articles only mention requiring everyone at the level to approve, but no option to have "OR" with the names so that any of the 3 would be acceptable, and only 1 of them is needed.

YES! I feel terrible taking vacation or a sick day because requests can't get approved or moved along in my absence.

The out of office delegate helps, but this rule specifying multiple people is a more common real world scenario. It would be even more flexible if the approvers are assigned based on group membership.
