Summary Posting of Depreciation from Fixed Assets

Need to be able to post fixed asset depreciation from fixed assets in summary instead of individual line detail for each of the hundreds of fixed assets we have. A great option would be to not automatically post to GL, but rather push a JE that could be deleted. I could then make a summary entry by exporting the report from the Fixed Assets post process into Excel and using a pivot table.

We don't need, nor do we want hundreds of line detail in the GL.

    Thank you that helps and am thankful for that option! But, would still be nice to have control over how we post to begin with, as per my original suggestion.

     Hi Charles, 

    Thanks for the idea!  For any accounts that you wish to show in Summary when viewing the General Ledger Report, in FENXT, you can go to Settings > Account Codes > and mark the account code as Control.

    By default the General Ledger Report will show that activity in Summary, so you can avoid all of those lines!
