When you run a General Ledger Report in NXT there are two report format options - debit/credit or balance. The debit/credit option shows you two columns and then a beginning and ending balance. The balance option gives a running balance with each transaction. It would be nice to just have both elements in a single report - for each line item it would show whether it was a debit or credit entry and then a balance column showing what the balance is after that entry. The only way to get that now is to dump the debit/credit format into Excel and then enter a formula in the balance column. QuickBooks does this exact same type of report with no problem.
