Remove requirement of choosing an attachment type

When adding an attachment to an invoice in FE NXT,  it requires you to also enter an attachment type in another box.  This field populates from table entries created in FE database view and has no bearing on the actual type of the attachment.  For example, you can tell it that it is a PDF but then attach an excel file.  If it serves no purpose, can it be removed so that it is one less required field?
