When you choose to split a report, it splits the report up inside the total report. Which would work if you were going to print out a paper report, and separate the pages yourself, but in 2026, we're printing to PDF files and emailing them and storing them. If you print that to pdf, you end up with one large file containing all your split reporting. Then you have to put that into Acrobat and spend time separating out the various reports before you can file them or email them,

You should be able to instruct FE to break the report into separate files. Essentially putting in all the data for your report, and then having FE print multiple reports, creating multiple PDFs separated by whatever method you chose to split them. Your multi department reports are now ready to email right out of FE. And when you need to document approvals, you dont have to create a single file with 30 pages and then manually separate them all before filing.
