There are many things I really like about webview, but the FE NXT interface for all lookups is incredibly slow.

Editing journal entries that would have taken minutes takes at least five times longer now. In database view we could use keys (Shift + arrow key, I think) to move around the entry and we could enter a GL or project code or whatever without having to wait for FE to look it up ... having to wait for the lookup and select an account is extremely tedious. In large entries this is even slower.

If we are too fast entering info it can't keep up. For example, when entering dates, I'll enter it and tab and realize it didn't recognize the first couple of numbers, so I have to go back and correct it. I was editing an entry created by Raiser's Edge yesterday and it literally took like 10 seconds just to add to the journal reference. I'd click the cell and click the end of the description and start typing and it would overwrite the reference instead of adding to it. I had to click it, wait several seconds for the reference to highlight, click the end of the field, and then wait another few seconds just to add to the reference.

I use the Excel add-on for JEs when possible, but it's not always the best option. Creating JEs in database view was a breeze in database view, but it's a nightmare in webview. The issue is everywhere the system does a lookup for an account, project code, etc.

PLEASE make the edit journal entry process function like the Excel add-on (and how database view was) where you could enter an account and continue entering data without waiting to choose an account. The description pops up and it's obvious whether you entered the right account. We should be able to search/look up a GL if needed, but we shouldn't have to slow down our data entry for the software to keep up!
