Theory: Just in their nature, schools typically have many fixed assets in service that should be depreciated and high usage that will trigger retirement. Activity is high in the fixed asset accounts compared to other industries.

FENXT: Unlike other accounting systems, FENXT does not offer mass addition or retirement features within its fixed asset module. All fixed asset activity must be manually keyed for each asset. This creates much work for accounting personnel and invites the opportunity for errors due to manual keying. I reached out to customer support several months ago inquiring about these features and they confirmed it wasn’t available.

My suggestion: Add the capability to use an import feature (like we use in the journal entry function) to allow fixed asset activity to be recorded much more efficiently.
