Currently, Payment Assistant initiates payment runs immediately upon approval. However, since our payments are sent on specific days of the month, it would be more efficient and less cumbersome to schedule the payment run for a set date rather than tying it to the approval date. If the person processing payments could specify a payment run date before sending them for approval, it would create a smoother experience using Payment Assistant.
