Merged idea

This idea has been merged into another idea. To comment or vote on this idea, please visit FENXT-I-71 Projects - have the option to setup an account so that a project is required. This would only be certain accounts (not all accounts)..

Require Project IDs on an account or department level Merged

Currently, the system only allows you to require Project IDs at the Fund level. However, we currently use Project IDs for certain departments and account codes, but there is no way for the system to require this, so that something is not missed when being entered.

    If you set the project requirement at the Fund level doesn't it force you to enter a project code for every transaction?  This has the effect of requiring it on all accounts no matter the department or project code.  What the system does not allow, which certainly would be nice, would being able to set that requirement at a more detailed level as you describe.
