In database view when adding account restrictions to a project record, asterisks are used for masking segments, or partial accounts. This is very helpful in quickly allowing only a fund or department to be used with that project. Ranges cannot be used for departmental restrictions.

FENXT allows the value to be held if added from database or imported. But still need to have the ability to add when new projects are added through FENXT. Asterisks are allowed for filtering in record security, so FENXT has the capabilities for this functionality.
