Previously in FE database view, we could go to Admin > Set up system security, and open either a security group or specific user, then click Print Preview to generate a Security Profile report. We provided these during audits. There is no such reporting capability in the web view. You can only see what Roles are assigned to a user, but you cannot see the individual security settings that are selected for each role (like view, add, edit, and/or delete a record). We need a report in the web view that is at least somewhat similar to the database view's Security Profile that we can provide to auditors.
This report is critical to maintaining strong internal controls and is requested by our auditors.
This report is essential for both our team and the auditors. We rely on the overview report to review and re-evaluate our security measures and internal controls.
I completely agree, we are now in the midst of our year-end audit, and, as last year, the auditors are asking for a print out of each user's security profile which I could easily provide within database view. Blackbaud's "solution" to do screen shots of the Roles & Permissions in NXT is no solution at all. I've voted on the Ideas suggestion for this, but there are now only 33 people who have done this. Many more are needed to vote before Blackbaud will likely pay any attention to this very critical need for reporting.
This is a very critical report for us too. We need to track what role and what person can do.
This is a critical report asked for every year by our Auditors.
