In database view, when entering in the gl distribution for payables, creating a line item for a journal entry, creating a report, etc. and wanting to search one segment of the general ledger; you used to be able to click a smaller set of binoculars to search only the field you want, meaning the: fund, account, cost center, project number. In the new webview you cannot search gl segments, you are only able to search by the entire number which means you need to know the exact number. I'm certain I am not alone in needing to confirm a segment or lookup an account code, or project number, etc. while creating a journal entry, a report, entering payables, etc. It was a huge time saver whereas with webview, we have to search the gl settings or look at the tables to view the detail. It is very cumbersome and the ability to search these segments before was a massive convenience and allowed for quicker workflow
