Add the CSV file import function now available in database view into FE NXT

For daily import of financial data from our reservation/registration system and bi-weekly import of our payroll information from ADP. Both of these outside systems are set up to provide CSV files that we import into our financial database easily using the CSV import feature. The Excel add-in feature does not work for us to import the necessary financial data.

    Yes to this! We are in the same situation. Why would you have this option in an "older" version of the software, but now not allow this in the "new" version. NXT should have EVERYTHING the database had to offer, plus additional functionalities. It should definitely not be removing functions from their users. Terrible transition from the database to NXT overall.

    There is a Create Journal Entry plug-in available for free in the Marketplace that largely replaces the CSV import. However, it cannot import custom fields. And I've just learned that ADP is going to charge us $250/hour to reformat our GL output file to match the plug-in's format.

    YES! thank you. This needs to be brought over or Database needs to live forever we can use the import templates/feature
