Adding a line anywhere to a journal entry

Currently when you add a line to a manual journal entry in FE NXT, the line goes to the bottom of the journal entry and you cannot add a line wherever you want in the journal entry like the FE database will let you. When I want to copy an entry and have the lines in a certain order, this is a pain that the line only goes to the bottom and can't be shifted up or down. Should definitely be updated to mirror the FE database so you can add a line wherever you want.

Absolutely necessary. I still use database view for large JEs because of this.

I see that August is when Journal Entry is scheduled to be removed from the database view. It would be ideal if Blackbaud would simultaneously add the ability to drag-and-drop to reorder Journal Entry lines in web view.

We need this functionality! It's not really optional. When making many lines of journal entries you may need add one - Especially when posting RE batches to the GL.

Came to the IdeaBank today specifically to add this idea and see it already here. Inserting lines among existing Journal Entry lines is an important feature needed for our organization.

This is my only issue with NXT vs Database view. We should be able to insert lines where ever we want on a journal entry.

WE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BE VOTING ON THIS TO GET IT BACK!

This is a functionality that is a must and that we already received in the database side, so why you would take functionality away on the Webview side doesn't make sense! We accounting people like our information in order not all over the place. If you have a correction to a JE for instance where it is split between two accounts, but you originally put it to one, then it doesn't make sense to add the new line for that JE at the bottom of the batch!! Or that you would have to delete the whole thing and start over at the end of the batch and put your entries out of date order.

I think this is an essential part of making a journal entry. sorting and adding lines where you want them, not just at the bottom. nightmare

Also allow to renumber lines, or sort by journal reference while entering - as it shows it in alpha order when viewing
