I have a table in FE that we use in conjunction with the web purchasing portal for staff to pick their name. When it was in the database, I could sort the table alphabetically when adding a new person. The table got moved to NXT, and now I can't sort it. All new people get added at the bottom. This makes the new person whose last name starts with an A have to scroll all the way to the bottom to find her name when she needs to complete a req. Can you please allow sorting in tables in NXT.
When I posted this idea originally, I thought it was a simple fix. I was told in the community that this functionality was available in RE (although using arrows would be a little clunky), so I assumed it could be applied to FE easily. It is really annoying to have a grant that starts with B show up at the end of the grant list, and there is still the issue of staff having to scroll to the end of the table of names in a dropdown even though their last name start with A.
When I made this post, I really thought it was a simple fix. I was told in the community that there is some functionality in RE that allows a user to sort a table (although using arrows is a little clunky). So there should at least be the same option in FE. It is very annoying to have a grant code that starts with B show at the end of the list of grants. It is confusing for staff as well, since we use a dropdown for them to pick their name when doing requisitions. We have to tell new staff to look at the end of the list instead of where they should be in the alphabet.
Any updates from Blackbaud on this? They took away the ability to do this in database. This idea is almost a year old now
