When department heads are making budgets, often they need to compare what they're doing to a prior budget. FE has no way within the budgeting process to compare a prior budget to the one being adjusted.
By adding a locked column after the account number, you could add a filter like in the reports to include the budget numbers from another budget template to see what you are comparing the numbers to.
You can use the budget tools to copy your budget and save multiple scenarios (1st draft, 2nd draft, final). You can create a report that shows each in columns for comparison.
