We have multiple entities within our organization that use different Funds. Because Accounts roll up to Funds, allow for the selection of only a Fund in a user's settings so the Account Code distribution set in an Expense Category can be combined with the Fund specified as the default in user settings.
We realized this was possible using asterisks as wildcards. In the user's distribution, specify the Fund in the first segment of the string, then put asterisks in the Account Code segment. For the Expense Category, put asterisks in the Fund segment and specify the correct Account Code.
